Dan Chavez joins Brian and Greg to walk through the HBPR&A instructor certification pipeline. They cover who makes a good candidate, what the 3 to 5 day program looks like, and how organizations use certified instructors to scale training across thousands of personnel without bringing in outside contractors every time.
Instructor certification creates institutional capability. A small cadre of certified instructors can train your entire organization.
The best operators aren't always the best teachers. Candidate selection is critical.
Certified instructors follow a standardized curriculum with built-in assessments to maintain training fidelity.
Today we've got Dan Chavez in the studio with us, and we're going to talk about something that a lot of organizations have been asking about: instructor certification.
Happy to be here. This is one of my favorite topics because it's where training creates lasting impact. You bring us in once, we certify your people, and then your organization owns the capability.
And that's the ROI argument, right? Instead of hiring outside trainers every quarter, you invest in building organic capacity. Your best people learn the methodology, they learn how to teach it, and they roll it out across the entire organization.
Exactly. We've had organizations where we certified 5 instructors and within 18 months those 5 people had trained over 600 personnel. That's a multiplier you can't get any other way.
But here's the thing, and Dan, you can speak to this. Not everyone should be an instructor. We've seen organizations try to send their most senior person or their highest performer, and sometimes that's not the right pick.
