How it started
Greg Williams started reading human behavior on the streets of Detroit in the 1970s. He worked as a patrol officer, then held virtually every LE position from shift supervisor to Interim Chief of Police. Somewhere along the way, he realized the skill that kept him alive on the street could be taught, tested, and measured.
He built the USMC Combat Hunter program. Then the US Army's Advanced Situational Awareness Training (ASAT). Then Border Hunter, SOFSAT, MASAT, and 6 other DoD programs. 9 independent studies validated the methodology. General Mattis called him a “national treasure.”
Arcadia Cognerati exists because the discipline Greg built shouldn't live inside a single government contract. It should be available to every organization responsible for protecting people: military, law enforcement, schools, houses of worship, corporate security teams.

The name
Arcadia. Ancient Greece. A proving ground where serious people wrestled with serious problems. Ideas met reality. Only the ones that survived got taught.
Cognerati. A word we built because the right one didn't exist. Practitioners who think their way out of problems. Cognition. Metacognition. Structured, testable ways to predict and prevent the worst outcomes.
